This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are handled for licences, Credits, and other products purchased from SamsungTool ("we", "us", or "the Company") through samsungtool.us. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our End User License Agreement (EULA). By purchasing from us, you agree to this Refund Policy.
1. Overview
Our products are digital goods — software licences and prepaid Credits — that are delivered electronically and give immediate access to paid functionality once purchased and activated. For this reason, all sales are generally final and non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances described in Section 4 and to the extent required by applicable law (see Section 8).
We encourage you to review the product description, supported devices, and the published system requirements, and to try any free or trial features that may be available, before you buy.
2. Credits
Credits are prepaid units used to perform specific paid operations.
- Credits are consumed when an operation is started, and are not refundable once an operation has begun, whether or not the operation completes successfully due to circumstances outside our control — for example, a faulty, damaged, or unsupported device, an incorrect selection, or an interrupted connection on your side.
- Unused Credits that have not yet been redeemed are generally non-refundable, but may be considered for a refund at our discretion under Section 4 where they were purchased in error or cannot be used because of a fault on our side.
- Credits are tied to your account, do not expire, and may not be transferred, resold, or exchanged for cash.
3. Activation licences
Activation licences (for example, 3-, 6-, or 12-month activations) grant access to the paid Features for a fixed period.
- Once a licence has been activated, it is generally non-refundable, because activation gives you immediate access to the paid functionality.
- A licence that has been purchased but not yet activated may be considered for a refund at our discretion under Section 4, typically where it was bought in error or where a fault on our side prevents activation.
4. When you may be eligible for a refund
We may, at our discretion, grant a refund where all of the following apply:
- the Software repeatedly fails to install or operate on a computer that meets our published minimum system requirements;
- you and our support team have first made reasonable joint efforts to diagnose and resolve the problem (for example, by following our troubleshooting steps and providing the information we request); and
- your refund request reaches us at [email protected] within 3 days of the date of purchase.
Requests that meet these conditions are reviewed individually. Meeting the conditions does not by itself guarantee a refund, but we will consider each eligible request reasonably and in good faith.
5. Situations that are not eligible for a refund
Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not provide refunds in situations such as:
- Credits that have been consumed, or operations that have already been completed or attempted;
- a device that is not supported, is damaged or faulty, or fails for reasons related to the device itself rather than the Software;
- user error — for example, choosing the wrong product, the wrong device model, or the wrong operation, or not following the Documentation;
- your computer or environment not meeting the published system requirements, or lacking the necessary drivers, cables, or connectivity;
- change of mind after purchase, or no longer needing the product;
- requests made after the 14-day window described in Section 4;
- any purchase used, or attempted to be used, in a manner that violates our EULA; and
- accounts terminated or banned for breach of the EULA.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and include:
- your account email or order/transaction reference;
- the product purchased and the date of purchase;
- a clear description of the problem, including any error messages; and
- the troubleshooting steps you have already taken.
Providing complete information helps us review your request quickly. We may ask for additional details, logs, or screenshots to investigate.
7. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase, unless we agree otherwise. The time it takes for a refund to appear depends on your payment provider or bank, and any related transaction or processing fees may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law. Where a refund is approved, the associated licence and any related Credits will be cancelled or disabled.
8. Your statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy or in our EULA limits or excludes any rights you have that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including, where relevant, the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of Singapore. Some consumer-protection laws provide a right to cancel certain digital purchases within a short period; where such a right applies, it may not be available once you have started to download or use the product with your consent. This Policy applies in addition to, and does not override, any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe there is a problem with a charge, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us — particularly for products that have already been delivered, activated, or used — may result in the suspension or termination of your account and a permanent ban from future purchases, in addition to any other remedy available to us. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are unwarranted.
10. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, practices, or applicable law. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
